ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has got the green signal for legal action with additional withholding tax on non-filers in the country.
The government gave the green signal to the FBR to implement Plan B against non-filers, which would impose additional withholding tax on non-filers as well as ban SIMs against companies that do not comply with the order. Legal action will be taken.
According to FBR sources, action will be taken against the non-filers after May 15, under which additional withholding tax is also considered if the SIM of the non-filers is not closed and additional tax of 2.5% is also considered on the SIM of the non-filers. is going.
Sources have further informed that additional tax is being considered for charging non-filers every time, additional tax on mobile and data load is also being considered. The data on SIM blocking of non-filers has been handed over to PTA and if the SIMs of non-filers are not blocked by May 15, FBR will consider action against the companies.
Sources say that despite the passage of more than 10 days, the telecom companies have not implemented the orders to block SIMs, regarding which the legal team will be consulted and an application will be filed in the court against the telecom companies.
