The Chief Justice of Lahore High Court expressed his indignation over whispering to the public prosecutor and said that Fawad Chaudhry seems to have old relations with the public prosecutor, Fawad Chaudhry looks worried, stay calm.
Lahore High Court Chief Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed heard the request of former federal minister Fawad Chaudhary for video link attendance in 36 cases.
The lawyer of Fawad Chaudhry said that he cannot appear in the courts of Punjab. The Chief Justice inquired how many districts have registered cases? The Additional Advocate General replied that cases were registered in 4 divisions.
The lawyer said that where there were FIRs, we have filed bails, the Additional Advocate General said that the Chief Justice has the authority to transfer cases from one court to another.
The Chief Justice of the High Court inquired that there are 36 cases against one person, how can he appear in all the courts at the same time? Fawad Chowdhury said that there are 47 cases registered against me.
The Chief Justice directed Fawad Chowdhury to sit down, you are harassing me too, Additional Advocate General said that there are more cases against founder PTI.
The Chief Justice said that sometimes Pakistanis abroad cannot appear in court in civil cases, thinking that the system of testimony through video link should be introduced for them.
Later, the court adjourned the hearing till May 9, giving time to Fawad Chowdhury’s lawyer to prepare.
