Lahore: It has been decided to give school holidays from May 25 due to severe heat wave in Punjab.
The schools wing of the education department has issued a notification to close all government wing schools from May 25 to May 31 while the summer vacation will begin from June 1 in view of the severe heat wave and in view of the heat wave.
Earlier, the Education Minister Primary Education had given exemption to private schools due to examinations. According to the provincial education minister, he has taken this decision in view of heat stroke, on which he has taken public opinion into consideration. In the light of the post, now the general summer vacations will start from May 25 instead of June 1 and will continue till August 14.
Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, in view of the heat wave, asked the parents of the students on his social media account for their opinion regarding the holidays, on which more than 7 thousand people expressed their opinion, of which 96 percent. demanded an immediate holiday in schools.
He said that protecting the students from the effects of severe weather is the first priority. Conditional permission will be given to keep private schools conducting examinations open.
