RIYADH: The PIA Hajj flight had to make an emergency landing in the Saudi city of Riyadh.
According to the spokesperson of PIA, Hajj flight PK 839 of the national airline departed from Karachi to Jeddah at 10 pm, which had to make an emergency landing at the airport of Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
Unusual noises were heard in the PIA plane during the flight. Due to sounds in the aircraft system, the flight was diverted from Jeddah to Riyadh Airport, where the aircraft made an emergency landing and after that all the passengers were taken off and transferred to the lounge.
According to the spokesman, flight PK839 received a warning of high temperature in the cargo cabin during the flight, after which the aircraft was landed at Riyadh Airport. After checking the aircraft, the high temperature warning was found to be false and after a quick check, flight PK839 was diverted to Jeddah.
