Islamabad: The Supreme Court has sought the details of former Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri’s properties in the electoral fraud case.
The Supreme Court issued a notice to the federal and Balochistan government on the issue of Qasim Suri’s property report and sought a report from the FIA.
According to the court order, the federal government and FIA should tell the whereabouts of Qasim Suri, the Balochistan government should submit a report on the properties of Qasim Suri because Qasim Suri did not appear again despite the court order.
Earlier, a four-member larger bench headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa heard the case.
During the hearing, lawyer Naeem Bukhari said that I have no contact with Qasim Suri. The Chief Justice remarked that Qasim Suri sat down with an injunction from the Supreme Court, will the case not proceed after the injunction? done.
Qasim Suri’s lawyer Naeem Bukhari requested to take notice of the matter. Lawyer Naeem Bukhari said that the court should reject Qasim Suri’s appeal and take notice of non-appearance, I should be ordered to leave the court.
The Chief Justice while talking to Naeem Bukhari said that why ask you to leave the court, how can you ask such a beautiful person to leave. Lawyer Naeem Bukhari said that if I had known, I would have come with make-up.
The Chief Justice said that Qasim Suri’s property details are then requested, on which lawyer Naeem Bukhari said that even the dead person appears from the grave when the property details are requested.
Justice Musrat Hilali asked why Qasim Suri is running away from the court, to which lawyer Naeem Bukhari replied that I have no contact with Qasim Suri. Justice Musrat Hilali said that you can leave a message for your client.
The Chief Justice remarked that Qasim Suri’s term in the National Assembly has ended, but the case has not been decided by the Supreme Court.
The court adjourned the hearing indefinitely after giving notice to the federal and provincial governments.
