Cairo: A former police officer in Egypt held a female member of parliament hostage and sexually assaulted her and made her sign a 1 million pound receipt by making a video.
According to the Arab media, the former police officer was working on the security of the parliament and met the member of the assembly during that time. He gained the MLA’s confidence and invited him to his flat for a business partnership.
When the Member of Assembly reached the flat, the police officer took him hostage at gunpoint and tortured him. He also sexually assaulted a female MLA and made a video.
Somehow the member of the assembly got a chance to call, so he called his younger sister and informed her about being held hostage. Taking immediate action, the police raided the flat and recovered the injured MLA.
The former police officer was taken into custody and will be tried under the provisions of rape and hostage-taking, which can be punished by hanging or life imprisonment.
