BENGALURU: India’s Kanda film actor Darshan Thagu Deepa offered Rs 15 lakh to three people for taking responsibility for the murder of 33-year-old Renuka Swamy.
According to Indian media, the police arrested 47-year-old actor Darshan Thagu Deepa and his wife Putra Gowda on charges of murdering 33-year-old Renuka Swamy.
Renuka Swamy, 33, who worked at a Bengaluru pharmacy, allegedly sent abusive messages to actor Darshan’s wife, whose body was found on a bridge some time later.
While investigating this case, the police have arrested 13 people including the actor and his wife, while the arrested accused have made a surprising revelation during the investigation.
According to the police, the three suspects arrested on the charge of murder said in their statement that actor Darshan had offered them 1.5 lakh rupees for accepting responsibility for the murder of Renuka Swamy. , had offered to pay Rs.5 lakh.
Before being killed, Renuka Swamy was brutally tortured, tied with ropes and beaten with wooden sticks and belts, police added.
