Lahore: Governor Panhab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan has said that constitutional courts are the need of the hour and not getting justice on time is also an injustice.
Speaking to the media on this occasion, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider expressed his condolences to the family of late Akhlaq Bajwa and said that consultation with the opposition parties including the allied parties of the government is going on for the establishment of constitutional courts.
He said that for three generations people have not taken decisions but we are trying for a unanimous decision. It doesn’t matter to PPP who is the Chief Justice.
PPP has a history of never doing any unconstitutional work, but despite this, whenever there is a problem, PPP is used and favor is given to one party. Many times we did not get justice from the courts, including removal from office, we were abused, but despite this we did not boycott the courts.
PPP has never supported an individual, but has spoken about the interests of the country and the constitution.
PPP has its own draft of constitutional amendment but we are not in such a hurry to pass it. We have given the draft to Maulana Fazlur Rehman and shared it with BTI. The constitutional amendment was approved unanimously.
