In the meeting chaired by Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi, the structure of domestic cricket season 2024-25 was discussed. Can help fill the gap.

Mohsin Naqvi expressed his desire to introduce additional T20, ODI and 4-day events in the domestic cricket calendar and said that professional cricketers should be busy throughout the year to improve the game and when needed for national duty. Fully prepared for this change, a strong and competitive system will help increase the player pool which will benefit the Pakistan team.
Note that the new domestic season is expected to start in September.
On the other hand, according to the press release, in the PSL Governing Council meeting, Mohsin Naqvi assured the franchise owners of full support and said that I want to see you grow and flourish, I will give all possible help to achieve these goals. .
He said that HBLPSL is the jewel in the crown of Pakistan cricket, we want to see it develop continuously, the meeting also discussed about increasing the number of teams from 6 to 8, on behalf of PCB. A window of April 7 to May 20 has been proposed for the HBLPSL 2025, with further discussions on both issues taking place next month.
