Lahore: On the directive of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the scope of Lahore Free Wi-Fi service has been extended.
Punjab Safe City Authority has increased “CM Maryam Nawaz Free Wi-Fi” from 100 points to 200 active. Thus, “CM Maryam Nawaz Free Wi-Fi” services started at 100 more points in Lahore.
Free Wi-Fi has been started in Manga Mandi, Multan Road, Bund Road, Chohang, Shahpur Kanjran, Sunder, Valencia, Maraka and other areas.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif says that emergency free Wi-Fi service is being provided for citizens under Digital Punjab Vision.
In an emergency, police and families can be contacted through CM Maryam Nawaz Free Wi-Fi, while women safety app, Punjab police app and WhatsApp can also be used.
Various applications can also be downloaded through the service and can also be used to book taxi rides.
It should be noted that “CM Maryam Nawaz Free Wi-Fi” service is not for Facebook, YouTube, Tik Tok and other entertainment apps. The range of each free Wi-Fi device in Lahore is up to 300 feet from the corresponding point.
