Lahore: The inclusion of the Indian team in the Champions Trophy will be discussed at the ICC annual conference in July.
The last time Pakistan had the chance to host an ICC event was in 1996, when it was co-hosted with India and Sri Lanka.
While holding a press conference in Lahore on Sunday, Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi said that when the security team of ICC came to Pakistan, the meeting was very good, they reviewed the arrangements, the plan for the upgradation of the stadiums from our side. Also shared, we are constantly in touch with them, the schedule has been sent, trying to ensure that the best event is organized.
On the other hand, the Indian media is constantly giving news that the team will not go to Pakistan, the inclusion of blue shirts in the Champions Trophy will be discussed at the ICC annual conference in July, in the draft schedule, all the matches of the teams, including India, have been kept in Pakistan. As per the procedure, the proposed schedule is worked out by the respective ICC teams and shared with the boards and broadcasters after which the final dates are announced.
The Champions Trophy was last held in England in 2017, the Green Shirts won the title under the leadership of Sarfaraz Ahmed. will upgrade, in this regard there will be international bids on May 7.
