The case of death of father and daughter in car accident was heard in city court. On this occasion, the lawyer of the accused, Amir Al-Mutawat, took a position that the mental state of the accused is not such as to be presented in the court.
Lawyer Amir Al-Mutada said that a patient suffering from such a disease does not remember anything and such patients are kept in the isolation ward. The accused left the house without permission by taking the vehicle, the application of the accused will be filed for bail.
During the hearing, the investigating officer, Inspector Amir Altaf, has also submitted a certificate signed by the in-charge of the psychiatry department of Jinnah Hospital in the court, in which the accused has not been declared a psychiatric patient.
On this occasion, investigating officer SIO Aamir Altaf said that the police remand of the accused should be approved for 7 days, on this the court approved the physical remand of the accused for one day. The investigating officer also submitted the report regarding the non-appearance of the accused and the provisional medical report in the court.
The investigating officer said that Dr. Ghoni Lal, a psychiatrist at Jinnah Hospital, has examined the accused and admitted her to the hospital. The doctor says that the condition of the accused is not such that she should be brought to court, the mental condition of the accused is very bad.
On the insistence of the lawyer of the accused to grant bail to the accused, the court said that bail cannot be granted without the appearance of the accused. The court ordered that if the accused is not able to produce, then her proper medical certificate should be produced in the concerned court.
During the hearing, the court inquired from the investigating officer that the driving license of the accused was taken into custody at the time of arrest. The investigating officer shook his neck and replied in the negative. Aamir Al-Muttab said that my client has a British license and not a Pakistani one.
On this, the court questioned how the British license would be acceptable in Pakistan. The court disposed of the case by ordering the accused to appear before the concerned court on Wednesday.
On the other hand, in this regard, DIG East Azfar Mahesar has said in a statement that in the police investigation, the family members of the accused Natasha have revealed that she has a foreign driving license, but it is not acceptable in Pakistan.
