In Canada, General Jenny Carinian became the country’s Chief of the Defense Staff, becoming the first woman to command the Canadian Armed Forces.
Trained as a military engineer, Jenny Kerinian has commanded troops in Afghanistan, Bosnia Herzegovina, Iraq and Syria during her 35 years of service in the Canadian Army.
Jenny Carinian at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa said she feels ready to take on the challenge.
It should be noted that Jenny Kerinian is the second woman army chief in the world. Earlier in Slovenia, a female journalist was made the head of the country’s army.
