A letter written by Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani for contempt of court proceedings against judges has come to light.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani also wrote a letter to Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Amir Farooq for contempt of court proceedings.
According to sources, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani wrote a letter to initiate contempt of court proceedings on the malicious campaign.
Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamir Faruq is likely to constitute a larger bench for contempt of court proceedings against Justice Babar Sattar over the social media campaign.
It was further reported that the bench will hear the matter today (Tuesday).
Sources said that after the personal information of him and his family, including the US residence permit, was posted on social media, Justice Babar Sattar has requested Chief Justice Amir Faruq to take contempt of court action.
It should be remembered that on April 28, the Islamabad High Court issued a statement on the social media campaign against Justice Babar Sattar.
In the statement, the Islamabad High Court gave clarification on Justice Babar Sattar’s green card, American citizenship of children, American properties and family business.
It was further stated that a defamatory and baseless campaign is being conducted against Justice Babar Sattar on social media, confidential information of Justice Babar Sattar is being posted and reposted on social media, Justice Babar Sattar, his wife and Children’s travel documents are being posted on social media.
