The hamstring injury issue of wicketkeeper batsman Muhammad Rizwan of the national cricket team has been prolonged.
According to sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) medical panel has received the scan report of Muhammad Rizwan, the panel has contacted doctors in the UK to check the nature of the injury.
There are reports that the cricketer’s injury is of a serious nature, due to which he may be out of the series against New Zealand.
In the third T20 match of the series against the Kiwis, Rizwan suffered a leg injury and was retired.
Sources say that due to the injury, the doctor has advised Mohammad Rizwan to rest for 2 to 4 weeks.
It should be noted that the fourth T20 match of the series will be played today at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, the series between the two teams is tied at 1-1.
