Lahore: The ban on court reporting was challenged in the Lahore High Court.
PEMRA’s move to ban court reporting was challenged by Samra Malik Advocate in the Lahore High Court. In the application, PEMRA, Federal Government and Information Secretary have been made different.
It has been argued in the petition that the notification issued by PEMRA on May 21 is illegal. PEMRA’s notification is in violation of Article 19 and 19A of the Constitution. The court should declare the notification of PEMRA invalid and suspend the notification of PEMRA till the final decision of the petition.
