Quetta: 2 people were killed and many injured in a clash during the recounting of votes in Balochistan.
According to local sources, an altercation broke out between two groups during the recounting of votes in Provincial Assembly Constituency PB-21 in Hub. 2 people were killed and 13 injured due to firing during the clash in Civic Center Hub
As soon as the firing was reported, a team of law enforcement agencies reached the spot and collected the evidence. The bodies of the dead and the injured were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
According to media reports, the police have detained 3 people on the charge of firing, who are being investigated.
It should be noted that protests are ongoing on behalf of political parties across the province against the alleged rigging in the general elections. In this regard, apart from sit-ins in front of government offices, protests are also being held on the national highway at some places. A shutter down strike was conducted across the province yesterday.
