In the District and Sessions Court of Islamabad on the plea of acquittal against former Prime Minister Imran Khan, Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed, former minister Asad Umar, former leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Ali Nawaz Awan in the case of vandalism during the Independence March. The lawyers have completed their arguments.
The case against the leaders was heard by Civil Judge Malik Muhammad Imran, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed appeared in the court along with his lawyer Sardar Raziq, Amina Ali advocate on behalf of founder PTI, Asad Umar and Ali Nawaz Awan. And Mirza Asim advocate appeared before the court.
On this occasion, Sardar Raziq Advocate filed an acquittal petition on behalf of Sheikh Rashid, he said that Sheikh Rashid has been accused of Emma, the evidence of Emma could not be presented by the complainant, the entire case. I am only a constable witness, the witness stated that Sheikh Rasheed and others are seen speaking in the video clips.
Sardar Raziq Advocate said that speaking is not a crime, everyone from the Prime Minister to the Chief Justice of Pakistan speaks, a political case has been made by using state authority.
Sheikh Rasheed’s lawyer said that according to a judgment of the Supreme Court, the charge should be framed after the completion of evidence, in a case three witnesses who were presented later were not accepted by the Supreme Court.
Later, Sardar Raziq Advocate requested Sheikh Rasheed to be discharged from the case.
Later, Imran Khan’s lawyer Mirza Asim Advocate argued that there is no chance of conviction in this case, Imran Khan and others should be acquitted, Amina Ali Advocate said that Section 144 would have been the complainant himself. Yes, this case is built on wrong grounds.
With this, the arguments of the lawyers on the plea of acquittal of Imran Khan, Asad Umar, Ali Nawaz Awan and Sheikh Rashid were completed.
Later, the court adjourned the hearing of the case.
