ANF’s Crackdown Against Drug Traffickers.

ANF conducted 10 operations, arrested 8 suspects around educational institutions & across the country, & recovered 73.849 kgs of drugs, valued at approximately 65 lac PKR

Educational Institutions Drug Interdiction

1. Near Motorway Toll Plaza, Islamabad, 1.2 kg of hashish recovered from an accused traveling in a passenger bus.
2. Near a university in Farooq Azam Colony, Attock, 47 grams of heroin & 42 grams of ice seized from an accused.

• The arrested accused confessed selling drugs to students of educational institutions.

Domestic Drug Interdiction

1. Near Customs Chowk, Peshawar, 2 kg of hashish recovered from an accused.
2. Near Bunji Check Post, Gilgit, 7.2 kgs of hashish recovered from a Suzuki pickup, 2 suspects arrested.
3. Near Sabzi Mandi Bazar, Gilgit, 7.2 kgs of hashish seized from a suspect.
4. At a courier office in Gujranwala, 200 grams of weed recovered from a parcel sent from Peshawar.
5. Near Moria Pull, Gujranwala, 3.6 kgs of opium & 21.6 kgs of hashish seized from a rickshaw the accused arrested.

International Drug Interdiction

1. Through a courier service in Chaklala, Rawalpindi, 30 grams of weed recovered from a parcel sent from the UK.
2. At a courier office in Hyderabad, 730 grams of ice seized from a parcel destined for New Zealand.

Inter-provincial Drug Interdiction

1. Near Motorway Toll Plaza, Islamabad, 4.8 kgs of opium & 25.2 kgs of hashish recovered from a vehicle the accused apprehended.
