Islamabad: Electricity prices are expected to increase by 4 rupees 40 paise for the next 3 months after the Ministry of Energy filed an application in Nepra.
According to the media report, Nepra will hear the request on February 14, the new increase in electricity price will be done on the basis of quarterly adjustment, this will put an additional burden of 82 billion rupees on the consumers.
According to the text of the request of the Ministry of Energy, Fesco has asked for an increase of 9 billion 44 crores, Pesco 11 billion 60 crores, Mapco 15 billions, LESCO 15 billions 10 crores, Kesco 10 billions.
