Lahore: An application was filed in the Lahore High Court to stop the arrest of Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Sanam Javed in further cases.
The petition filed by Sanam Javed’s father in Lahore High Court was fixed for hearing. Justice Shahram Sarwar will hear the application. 11 institutions including the federal government, Punjab government and IG Punjab have been made parties in the application.
It has been stated in the petition that Sanam Javed is being subjected to political revenge. Despite not being named in any case, Sanam Javed is arrested on unknown grounds. They are kept locked in the prison van in the hot sun till 7 pm.
It has been requested in the petition that Sanam Javed should not be arrested in any case without the permission of the Lahore High Court. An order should be given to provide the details of both named and unknown cases filed against them and a copy of Sanam Javed’s detention orders should be provided.
