Washington: The US says that it has agreed to increase efforts against terrorism with Pakistan.
US State Department Spokesperson Vedant Patel said in a media briefing that in the talks between Pakistan and US officials, it was discussed to further increase communication to deal with terrorism. Both the countries have agreed to speed up the mutual contacts in this regard.
The spokesman further said that Pakistan and America also agree on the efforts to eliminate terrorist groups. In this regard, other measures including providing cooperation to Pakistan on the western border were considered.
The spokesperson of the US State Department said regarding the Chabahar port agreement between India and Iran that sanctions on Iran are still in place. Those doing business with Iran should be aware of the potential risks.
