Islamabad: The inflation rate has increased in the country before Eid-ul-Fitr, while the prices of 16 essential items have also increased.
During the last decade of Ramadan, the rate of inflation in the country has started to increase again. Inflation rate has increased by 0.96 percent on weekly basis in the country in recent week while on annual basis also the rate of inflation has decreased to 29.45 percent in recent week.
Inflation rate decreased by 0.09 percent last week and it also decreased by 1.13 percent last week. After two weeks of reduction in inflation, inflation has started to increase again.
During the recent week, the prices of 16 items of daily use in the country increased, while the prices of 13 decreased and the prices of 22 remained stable.
In the country, the group with monthly income of 22 thousand 889 to 29 thousand 517 rupees was most affected by inflation, for which the rate of inflation was 33.30 percent.
According to the weekly report on the sensitive price index (SPI) released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the price of chicken increased by 2.99%, the price of tomato by 11.93%, the price of onion by 1.30%, the price of garlic increased by 1.30% in the recent week. has increased by 0.70 percent.
Apart from this, 0.41% in the price of mutton, 0.75% in the price of beef, 1.03% in the price of bread, 0.14% in the price of Tata rice, 3.45% in the price of petrol, 12.52% in the price of ladies sandals, gents sandals The prices of cloth increased by 8.70 percent and the price of long cloth by 2.23 percent.
On the contrary, the prices of flour decreased by 2.68%, the prices of eggs by 1.89%, the prices of LPG by 1.89%, the prices of diesel oil by 1.18%, and the prices of jaggery by 0.63%.
Apart from these, the prices of sugar have decreased by 0.41%, the prices of mustard oil by 0.26%, the prices of lentils by 0.25% and the prices of potatoes by 0.23%.
The statistics also show that during the recent week, the rate of inflation for the group having an income up to 17 thousand 732 rupees per month on an annual basis, from 17 thousand 733 rupees to 22 thousand 888 rupees per month, is 22.04 percent. 26.04% in the rate of inflation for the lower class, 33.30% in the rate of inflation for the class having an income of 22 thousand 889 to 29 thousand 517 rupees per month, inflation for the class having an income of 29 thousand 518 to 44 thousand 175 rupees per month. The rate of inflation was 30.89% while the rate of inflation for the group having income above 44 thousand 176 rupees per month was 26.81%.
