Karachi: After former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson, former West Indies captain Darren Sammy has also resigned from becoming the head coach of the Pakistan cricket team.
According to reports, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) offered Darren Sammy to be the head coach of the national team, which he has rejected.
The reason for Darren Sammy’s refusal is the existing contract with the West Indies board. The former West Indies captain is currently serving as the side’s head coach in ODIs and T20Is and hence cannot sign a deal with the PCB.
It should be noted that Darren Sammy was the head coach of Peshawar Zalmi in PSL 9.
