Mumbai: Well-known Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has revealed that she got addicted to smoking after acting in her hit film ‘The Dirty Picture’.
According to Indian media, Vidya Balan in her recent interview revisited her experience of working in the super hit film ‘The Dirty Picture’, in which she played the role of 1980s Indian actress Silk Smitha.
Vidya Balan said that I had to smoke in the film and I felt like we can’t fake smoking in the film so I started smoking before the shoot.
The actress said that I knew how to smoke but I had never smoked so I had to smoke exclusively for my role in this film.
He said that after the release of the movie ‘The Dirty Picture’ I got addicted to smoking, I used to smoke two to three cigarettes a day.
The host asked Vidya Balan if she still smokes. To which the actress replied that I don’t smoke anymore but I like to smoke.
The actress said, “If someone tells me that cigarettes do not harm you, I will start smoking again. Even in my college days, I used to stand next to smokers at bus stops.”
Vidya Balan added that it was very difficult for me to dance in a bold dress and then do a bold scene in the film ‘The Dirty Picture’ as I could never imagine doing such a role before this film.
