ISLAMABAD: Pakistan denied exchanging letters with India.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said in a media briefing that there was no exchange of letters between Pakistan and India. Indian media has always done speculative reporting. Prime Minister Shehbaz has congratulated Narendra Modi on assuming the post of Prime Minister through a tweet. It is a formal requirement for the government to congratulate the ruler of any other country on his election.
The spokesperson further said that Pakistan has received an invitation from Switzerland to participate in the Ukraine conference on June 15 and 16, but Pakistan will not participate in the conference due to some of its busy schedule. Pakistan is at the forefront of establishing peace in the world.
The spokesperson of the Foreign Office said that the implementation of the plan for the return of illegally staying foreigners is in progress. We have said many times that there is a threat from terrorism. It has informed Afghanistan of its concerns about the persons wanted for terrorism in its country.
The spokesman further said that it is expected that there will be progress in the Pakistan-China strategic partnership in the next few months. All issues between Pakistan and China, including the protection of Chinese citizens, bilateral relations, are contained in the joint declaration.
He said that the case of Khadija Shah is under hearing and is being dealt with according to Pakistani laws. Courts will decide in this regard.
It should be noted that China has also decided not to participate in the Ukraine peace conference. Russia says that Beijing also understands that such a conference would be futile without Russia.
