The funeral prayer of Captain Faraz Ilyas, who was martyred due to the collision of a military vehicle with a land mine in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was performed. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also participated in the funeral prayer.
Army Chief General Asim Munir, Federal Minister Attadar, Inspector General (IG) Punjab and other officers and youth also participated in the funeral prayer.
It should be remembered that yesterday in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a vehicle of the forces hit a landmine as a result of which 7 security personnel including a captain of the Pakistan Army were martyred.
According to the ongoing statement of the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), Captain Muhammad Faraz Ilyas from Kasur is also among those martyred in the IED blast.
According to ISPR, besides Captain Faraz Ilyas, Subedar Major Muhammad Nazir, Lance Naik Muhammad Anwar, Lance Naik Hussain Ali are among the martyrs.
Spokesman of Pakistan Army said that Sepoy Asadullah, Sepoy Manzoor Hussain and Sepoy Rashid Mehmood are among the martyrs.
