Regarding the May 9 tragedy, a special meeting of the federal cabinet is going on at the Parliament House under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Defense Minister Khawaja Asif are participating in the special meeting of the Federal Cabinet. Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar is also participating in the special meeting of the cabinet.
Along with Naveed Qamar and Sherry Rehman, Muslim League Zia chief Ijazul Haque is also present in the meeting.
Sources say that a white paper will be issued regarding May 9 in the cabinet meeting. The Federal Cabinet meeting is also likely to approve observing May 9 as Black Day.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed the meeting and said that May 9 is not just the darkest day in history. It is a day to separate the two thoughts of sacrificing politics for the state and attacking the state for politics.
Shahbaz Sharif said that on the one hand, the great sons of the nation, their great families, and the patriotic people are the ones who shed blood on the motherland. On the other hand, those characters who are burning in the fire of hatred are those who have no pain in their hearts for the interests of the state.
He added that the nation and history will never forgive the characters of May 9 tragedy. A year has passed but the nation and Pakistan have not forgotten their criminals and will not forget them.
