Colorado: American scientists have discovered a new species of horned dinosaur that weighed 11,000 pounds and was 22 feet long.
According to media reports, this dinosaur is the largest centrosaurine dinosaur ever found in North America. Scientists from the University of Colorado have revealed that these dinosaurs roamed the state of Montana 78 million years ago.
Colorado State University professors Joseph Isrich and Mark Lowen named the new dinosaur Luciceratops rangiformis because of its curved set of blade-like horns.
A museum in Colorado has a replica dinosaur on display for the public. Thankfully, it didn’t become a part of someone’s mansion as a decoration, the team said. It was placed in a museum where it will be preserved forever so that people can study it and enjoy seeing it.
