A teacher at a school in the United States called a Palestinian student a terrorist after requesting to change seat.
Foreign media quoted the American Islamic Relations Council, an organization working for Muslim rights, as saying that when a Palestinian-American student at a school in Pennsylvania requested to change his seat in class, the teacher said, “I do not talk to terrorists and extremists.” The American Islamic Relations Council and the school did not disclose the name of the teacher or the student. The Islamic Relations Council is in contact with the student’s parents.
On the other hand, the school administration suspended the teacher who called the Palestinian student an extremist and said in a statement that racist talk will not be tolerated. The teachers involved in the incident will remain suspended until the investigation is complete.
