In the second ODI match of the series between Pakistan and South Africa, bitter words were exchanged between captain Muhammad Rizwan and Heinrich Klaasen.
In the second ODI match played in Cape Town yesterday, Pakistan defeated South Africa by 81 runs and took a 0-2 lead in the series.
Playing first, Pakistan scored 329 runs in the stipulated 50 overs against South Africa and gave the host team a target of 330 runs to win. However, apart from Heinrich Klaasen, no Proteas batsman could compete with the Pakistani bowlers and thus, Pakistan took an unassailable 0-2 lead in the series by defeating them for the second consecutive match.
However, in the 26th over during South Africa’s innings, bitter words were exchanged between Muhammad Rizwan and Heinrich Klaasen, which made the match thrilling.
Haris Rauf bounced Klaasen on the last ball of the over, which angered him and led to a verbal altercation, but the intervention of the umpires and players brought peace.
Heinrich Klaasen played an innings of 97 runs off 74 balls, but he fell victim to Naseem Shah and could not even lead the team to victory.
