Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Advisor Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has an alternative plan for talks, instead of the government, negotiations will now be held with the opposition parties.
A statement issued by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa spokesperson said that formal talks have not yet started between the PTI and the government, however, talks will be held with the opposition parties before the civil disobedience movement, and all parties inside and outside the parliament will be invited to join.
He said that the civil disobedience movement will be effective with the participation of opposition parties, and if political parties are brought on a single platform, the government itself will be ready for talks.
Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif said that PTI and opposition parties can work together better, and the civil disobedience movement will be effective with the participation of opposition parties with PTI.
In response to a question, he said that the civil disobedience movement is part of the ongoing protest, however, at the request of some leaders, the founding PTI has delayed the civil disobedience movement.
He further said that some leaders had asked for time to further consult on the modalities of the civil disobedience movement.
It should be noted that yesterday, Imran Khan announced the postponement of the civil disobedience movement for a few days and said that during this time, he will decide on the features and timeline of the movement.
