A speeding truck rammed pedestrians at a bus stop in Israel’s capital, injuring 35 people, six of whom are in critical condition.
According to Israeli media, passengers were getting off the bus after visiting the museum at a bus stop near the Gillot military base when the truck crushed them.
Most of the injured include senior citizens. An armed citizen who was there shot and killed the truck driver.
The police say that they know of 24 injured in this incident, but eyewitnesses say that the number of injured is 35.
As the condition of 6 of the injured is critical, there is fear of death.
The identity of the truck driver has not yet been revealed, but he appears to be a Palestinian citizen.
It should be remembered that this month a Palestinian youth shot dead a police officer and injured 4 civilians on the main highway.
