Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz sought relief in the Ramzan Sugar Mill reference under the NAB Amendment Act.
The lawyer of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz filed an application regarding the jurisdiction of the court.
There has been progress in the Ramzan Sugar Mill reference against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz, Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz sought relief under the NAB amendment law.
In the petition, the position was taken that under the new NAB law, the accountability court does not have the authority to hear the reference, the court should send the reference back to the Chairman NAB.
Later, the accountability court asked the NAB to respond to the request by October 11. The court accepted Shahbaz Sharif’s request for a one-day attendance exemption. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s representative Anwar Hussain appeared and completed the attendance.
