KARACHI: The price of gold in global and local markets has reached the highest level in history.
Gold rose by $10 per ounce in the international bullion market to hit a new global high of $2,587 per ounce.
On the other hand, the price of 24 carat gold rose by Rs 1,700 per tola on the first day of the business week, reaching a new high of Rs 2,68,000.
Similarly, the price of gold per 10 grams in the country has also increased by 1458 rupees and has reached the highest level of 2 lakh 29 thousand 767 rupees.
In contrast to the big increase in gold prices at the global and local level, the price of silver in the country remained unchanged at Rs 2950 on Monday and the price of silver per 10 grams also remained unchanged at Rs 2529.14.
