Muhammad Rizwan’s Markhors defeated Mohammad Haris’ Stallions by 126 runs in the Champions ODI Cup.
Yesterday, the teams of Markhors and Stallions faced each other at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad. Batting first, Markhors could only give a target of 232 runs in 45 overs.
Iftikhar Ahmed of Markhors scored 60 runs, Salman Ali Agha scored 51 runs, Abdul Samad scored 37 runs, captain Muhammad Rizwan scored 33 runs and Fakhar Zaman scored 20 runs. Jehandad Khan of Stallions sent 4 and Mehran Mumtaz 3 players to the pavilion.
In pursuit of the target, the opening batsmen of the Stallions could not build a big partnership. Shaan Masood was out for 19 and Yasir Khan scored 2 runs. Babar Azam of Stallions was the top scorer with 45 runs.
The entire team of Stallions could only score 105 runs in the 24th over. On behalf of Markhors, Zahid Mehmood scored 18 runs and dismissed 5 players and was declared the man of the match.
Salman Ali Agha dismissed 3 players and Naseem Shah dismissed 2 players.
