Defending champions England staged a comeback in the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 World Cup, coming close to qualifying after defeating Oman by a wide margin.
In the ninth edition of the ICCT Twenty World Cup, an important match was played between England and Oman today. England won by 8 wickets to move from fourth to third position in Group B.
Talking about the points table of Group B, Australia is at the top with 6 points, Scotland is second with 5 points and England is at the third position with 3 points.
England had to complete the target within 5 overs to improve their net run rate. In such a situation, the England batsmen improved the net run rate by completing the target of 47 runs given by Oman in just 3.1 overs.
A win for the defending champions now looks fairly easy to qualify for, with England needing a win against Namibia in their final match. Similarly, a win for the Kangaroos in the match between Australia and Scotland is also important.
