Lahore: Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that today there will be a successful strike from Chitral to Karachi.
Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said in a press conference that the government is introducing trade-foe schemes in the name of trade-friend. I am sure that no business organization will fall into the government trap against the interest of its community and people.
He said that I appeal to the businessmen to do what is in favor of the country and the nation. The rulers are not willing to give up their privileges and we cannot bear the burden of their big vehicles.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that people are not ready to bear the expenses of free electricity and luxury of the rulers. Traders are willing to pay taxes but they do not approve of the determination of taxes on the basis of markets. Landlords should be taxed and the ruling class should reduce its expenses.
He said that if the IPPs contracts are terminated, the traders and people will automatically get relief. Today’s strike is a one-day effort. will force the government and it will have to back down.
Amir Jamaat-e-Islami said that the future action plan will be announced after consulting the businessmen today.
