Written and produced by Pakistani director Asim Abbasi, the web series ‘Barzakh’ is produced by Indian producers and the series is exclusively made for Indian streaming website Zee Five.
While the first and second episodes of the series ‘Barzakh’, which were released on the Indian YouTube channel ‘Zindagi’ and ‘Ze-Five’ on July 19, won the hearts of Pakistani and Indian fans, the Pakistani fans got angry after watching the third episode of the series. .
The third episode of ‘Barzakh’ featured romantic scenes and attraction between two male characters, besides the series also featured obscenity, adultery and child manipulation.
Indian YouTube channel ‘Zindagi’ has announced on Instagram that it will remove the web series from YouTube from August 9, following a backlash over its homophobic content in Pakistan.
In his statement, he wrote that the decision has been taken keeping in mind the Pakistani viewers and he treats his viewers with honor and respect.
