Peshawar: Thousands of police and prison recruitments have been revealed during the caretaker government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the report, 5,000 recruitments were made in the police and jails during the caretaker government in the province from 2023 to February 2024. Apart from this, the details of the purchase of billions of rupees for the police were also revealed.
Laptops, mobile phones, weapons, traffic police equipment were bought for the police.
Former speaker Mushtaq Ghani submitted a question in the assembly on recruitment and procurement during the caretaker government, on which the response of the interior department is likely to be presented in the assembly today. The government members in the provincial assembly also raised objections on the budget of the caretaker government.
