Beijing: As a result of a fire in a shopping mall in China, eight people died while others were trapped in the mall.
According to China’s state media, a fire broke out at a shopping center in the Chinese city of Zhejiang around 6:00 p.m. local time.
The local fire department dispatched around 300 emergency personnel and dozens of vehicles to the spot, after which the fire was brought under control at 8:20 pm.
A total of 30 people were rescued from the spot. However, the number of people trapped in the building is unclear.
It should be noted that such incidents are not uncommon in China. In January this year, 39 people died and nine were injured when a fire broke out in a building in southeast China.
A few days before the recent incident, there was a fire incident in the dormitory of a boarding school in Henan province, in which 13 children died.
