Trump Promises $5,000 to Americans if Republicans Win Midterm Elections
US president claims economy is improving, predicts significant fall in oil prices and announces $4.3 billion housing investment in Kansas
US President Donald Trump has urged American voters to support the Republican Party in the upcoming midterm elections, claiming that his administration has improved the country’s economy and that oil prices will drop substantially in the near future.
Speaking at his final campaign rally in Salina, Kansas, Trump called on supporters to participate in the elections, stressing that Republican success would depend heavily on voter turnout.
The United States is scheduled to hold midterm elections on November 3, with all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 35 Senate seats up for grabs.
Addressing the gathering, Trump said he had travelled extensively across the country over the previous two weeks to campaign for Republican candidates. He expressed satisfaction with the public response, claiming that no other US president had undertaken similar efforts during a midterm election campaign.
Trump Announces $5,000 Payment Promise
In a major campaign announcement, Trump promised to give $5,000 to every adult American if Republicans win the midterm elections.
He also warned against a Democratic victory, urging voters to prevent the opposition party from gaining control in Congress.
Trump defended his economic record, saying the US economy had improved under his leadership. He also predicted that oil prices would fall significantly soon, although he did not provide a specific timeline or explain the factors behind the expected decline.
The president said his priority was to make the next two years even more successful, with a stronger, wealthier, healthier and safer America.
$4.3 Billion Investment in Kansas Housing Sector
Trump also announced a planned $4.3 billion investment by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in Kansas’s housing finance sector next year.
He said the initiative was expected to benefit around 15,000 prospective homebuyers across the state by improving access to housing finance.
The president thanked Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Chairman Bill Pulte for his role and praised his work.
Rubio and Burgum Praise Trump’s Leadership
Several senior administration officials and Republican leaders attended the campaign rally, including Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Kansas Senator Roger Marshall, who is seeking re-election.
Burgum praised Trump’s commitment to the Republican campaign, saying the president recognised the importance of small-town communities and traditional American values. He also described Marshall as a representative of those values.
Meanwhile, Rubio highlighted national security as a key presidential responsibility, saying Trump’s leadership had strengthened the United States and improved the safety of American citizens.
He further claimed that America’s international adversaries had become weaker under the current administration.
The rally marked the conclusion of Trump’s final campaign push ahead of the crucial midterm elections, which will determine the balance of power in Congress for the next two years.
