Pakistan is suffering from economic crisis and all people are in despair, Mustafa Kamal

Leader Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan Mustafa Kamal has said that Pakistan is suffering from economic crisis and all Pakistanis are suffering from despair.

While giving a press conference in Karachi, he said that the situation has become so bad that all Pakistanis are affected, revolutionary measures are needed in such a situation, a country with nuclear power like Russia has collapsed due to economic crisis, energy in the country There is a severe crisis, 600 billion rupees loss is happening in the energy sector.

He said that we have revolving loans of 2,600 billion, these numbers are not mine, we have to give 1700 billion to power companies this year, we have kept 1400 billion for the development of the whole country, and we only give power companies. 1700 billion, then this is such a big volume, now this is our situation, without correcting this wound, the body of our Pakistan economy cannot be corrected, the mismanagement and losses of the power sector are wounds on the economy. Without stopping, the economy will not recover.

Mustafa Kamal said that there is more than required electricity in Pakistan, but the load shedding is happening for 18 hours because the losses of the government discos include theft, line losses etc. The method they have come up with is that if you reduce the power, reduce the production, then the line losses will be reduced and the theft of electricity will be reduced.

He said that where less electricity is being produced and the government is paying for its less production, the entire loss is 600 billion, line losses, transmission losses are all being taken from the consumers. Those who are paying the bill, it will not work now, it is beyond the tolerance of the people, it is not working, today every good man in white clothes is unable to pay the bill, the bill that comes is 71% capacity. The charges are money, so what is the solution? We are concerned about this, this problem is not going away, the way it is being discussed today is not right, we are in favor of this privatization, the discos should be privatized, except for the electric sub discos, which are government owned but those in Karachi. The experience with K Electric is not good, this experience needs to be fixed.

He said that we have to fix first of all what we have to privatize. If we don’t end the monopoly, don’t give licenses to more than one company, this problem will not be solved, apart from K Electric, there should be ten more electricity distribution companies in Karachi, this will create competition and benefit the consumers. , the same was the case with telecommunications but benefited when others were allowed.

He suggested that the government should go for pre-paid meters, which means that I have the option that if someone is charging a high price for electricity, I can go to the shop and buy a card from another electricity company and get my electricity, which is a thief. No, he is paying the money for all the thefts, he is paying the electricity bill on top of all the corruption, what justice is this?
