California: The latest WhatsApp beta version (2.24.14.5) has introduced a new shortcut for users to quickly and easily reply to video messages.
The update, introduced by Meta’s subsidiary, will be a major step towards streamlining and making video interactions within the app more natural.
This new shortcut, which appears as a small button, will be placed on par with video messages in chats.
Tapping on this button will instantly open the video recorder to create a video for sending a video reply. This way the user can avoid the hassle of going through multiple menu items.
WhatsApp is doing everything in its power to become the default platform for both text and video messaging.
Currently this feature is only available to beta testers. However, the feature is expected to roll out to users soon.
