The Islamabad High Court dismissed the objection of the registrar’s office in the Iddat Nikah case and consolidated the appeals of Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi.
Islamabad High Court Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb heard the appeals against the conviction of PTI founder and Bushra Bibi in the Nikah case during Eid. Bushra Bibi’s ex-husband Khawar Manika appeared in the security enclosure during the hearing.

Imran Khan’s lawyer Salman Akram Raja said that on May 29, the Sessions Judge sent a report to the Chief Justice instead of pronouncing the verdict. The session judge said that he will pronounce the verdict on May 29.
The court inquired whether the complainant had expressed no confidence in the judge in writing on May 29. Salman Akram Raja replied that he did not file the written petition on May 29 but had earlier filed a no-confidence motion which was rejected.
Justice Hasan Aurangzeb said that the reason for the judge’s separation from the case may not be correct, when the judge himself separates from the case, then is it appropriate to send him again? .
The court inquired whether the same plea is also in the second petition. To which Barrister Salman Safdar replied that the request on behalf of Bushra Bibi is slightly different.
Barrister Salman Safdar, the lawyer of Bushra Bibi, said that Bushra Bibi was sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment, the session court is not deciding on the appeal and the request for suspension of sentence.
