ISLAMABAD/ST PETERSBURG: An agreement on cooperation in railways was signed between Pakistan and Russia at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
According to the details released by the Pakistani embassy and Russia, on the occasion of the 27th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Pakistan and Russia signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the railway sector on June 7, 2024.
Through this MoU, the two countries aim to explore and collaborate on railway upgradation projects and opportunities to modernize this important sector.
Under this MoU, there will be future cooperation between the respective companies operating in this sector while aiming to promote and facilitate international cargo transport.
