ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has increased electricity prices, which will result in an additional burden of Rs 34 billion on consumers.
Nepra has issued the electricity price hike notification according to which the price of electricity has been increased by Rs 3 25 paise per unit.
This increase was made in the context of quarterly fuel adjustment, which will be applicable for the 3 months of June, July and August.
Nepra issued the decision to increase the prices and sent it to the federal government.
