Lahore: Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that the police are sacrificing but there are also black sheep.
A special meeting was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in which the law and order situation in the entire province was reviewed. IG Punjab gave a briefing about the overall law and order situation and police performance. In the meeting, the proposal to establish “beggar barracks” for professional paupers in Punjab jails was agreed upon.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that 13 crore people should be accountable, police should control crime, facts cannot be closed, no go area is tolerated anywhere in Punjab.
He stressed that the crime rate must be brought down in every way in the province, if the crimes are high, people forget the reforms and development of the government, the police are also giving sacrifices but there are also black sheep. Stand back, show solidarity by wearing uniform.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that more than 50 percent reduction in robbery incidents in Lahore is welcome, political interference in police affairs has ended, now the police should perform, DPOs should clean their district from corrupt officials and criminals.
