Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced to send a delegation to Kyrgyzstan for an independent investigation on the Bishkek incident, Information Minister Atta Tarar said that no child was killed in the attack, wrong information is being spread through social media.
While holding a press conference with Federal Information Minister Atta Tarr in Lahore, he said that our departure to Kyrgyzstan has been delayed. It has been decided not to visit at the request of the Kyrgyz government.
Ishaq Dar said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is examining the Bishkek issue himself. A detailed discussion has also been held with the Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan, the Kyrgyz Foreign Minister said that the situation is under control. We have activated the Emergency Unit in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the Bishkek incident.
The federal minister said that not only Pakistani but also Indian and Arab students were attacked on Friday night. 4 to 5 Pakistani students have also been injured in the attacks, who are undergoing treatment, a total of 16 students have been injured in the attacks.
He said that the Kyrgyz Foreign Minister told that the opposition runs a campaign to find out why foreign students come. According to officials, wrong information is being spread under paid social media, such incidents happen based on misunderstanding.
The Foreign Minister said that 130 Pakistani students have returned from Kyrgyzstan so far while 3 flights will go to Bishkek today to bring back the remaining students. Around 50 students have registered to go on the Air Force flight.
On this occasion, Federal Minister Attaullah Tarar said that when the two student groups clashed, the students of Pakistan were not the target at that time. Footage has been released by Kyrgyzstan in which the children there went to the aid of our children.
Atta Tarar said that propaganda is being done by a certain party of Pakistan on social media, it is a very shameful act of a political party to play with the sentiments of people.
He further said that neither our child has died nor any girl has been raped in the Bishkek incident. Flights are still coming today, we will welcome them, any children who want to come back, they will be brought back.
