Justice Muneeb Akhtar took oath as Acting Chief Justice, Justice Yahya Afridi took oath of Justice Muneeb Akhtar.
On the occasion of Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Qazi Faiz Isa’s visit abroad, Justice Muneeb Akhtar will perform the duties of Acting Chief Justice.
The swearing-in ceremony was held in the Committee Room of the Supreme Court Judges’ Block. Justice Muneeb Akhtar will be the Acting Chief Justice due to the foreign visit of Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faiz Isa.
Judges and senior lawyers of the Supreme Court participated in the swearing-in ceremony. Remember that Mansoor Ali Shah is the most senior judge after the Chief Justice, but he has also gone abroad.
Due to his absence, Justice Muneeb Akhtar took oath as Acting Chief Justice today.
It should be noted that the Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Qazi Faiz Isa will be out of the country till May 25, he will participate in the ECO countries Chief Justices Conference in Azerbaijan.
